The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this Web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site.

  • The privacy of our clients, and their continued enjoyment of the products and services at Tech Central is always our primary focus. We will NEVER, under any circumstance, share any personal information collected for the purpose of providing our products, with any third parties or entities. The only logical exception to this policy is when sharing address information with our shipping partners, which ensures delivery and tracking of our products. Our communication policy will limit our emails to you, the "client", in order to set up your personal account, confirm orders, update fulfillment and/or shipping your purchase, and any product information that you "the client" has either requested or authorized. Our merchant services partner, PayPal, also adheres to the highest ethical standards in the industry. When using any personal information provided for the purpose of completing a purchase, their elevated privacy standards will ensure that none of this information be used for any promotional communication purposes.

    When you purchase any product from us you are entitled to its manufacturer's warranty against defective merchandise. Due to some manufacturers' return and exchange polices, you will be required to contact these manufacturers directly to repair, replace or return your products. These currently include Apple, IBM, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Sony and others. Please contact us for details. If your product is not made by one of the manufacturers mentioned above or you wish to return or exchange a product that is not defective, please refer to the following:

    All products returned to us must be accompanied by a valid Return Authorization (RA) number issued by an authorized Tech Central representative within 20 days of your original purchase date. After 20 days from purchase we can no longer issue an RA and will refer you to the manufacturer for warranty service. RA's expire in 10 days after they are issued and cannot be extended or re-issued. All returned or exchanged products must be 100% complete in original packaging and in resaleable condition, with all packaging, software, manuals, blank warranty cards, original UPC code, and other accessories and documentation included. A valid RA number must be written clearly and conspicuously on the outside of the packaging. Incomplete or unauthorized returns or exchanges will be refused.

    Closed packages: Because technology changes so quickly, we cannot accept returns or exchanges of products once they have been opened. This includes, but are not limited to: computers, monitors, notebooks/laptops, copiers, all-in-one machines, digital cameras, modems, printers, computer peripherals, handheld computers, fax machines, scanners, wireless phones, telephones, software and networking products. Before opening each product please check its packaging and label carefully to be sure you received the correct product and version. If the supplier's original packaging and seal is still intact, you may return or exchange the product to us within 20 days from purchase for an exchange, merchandise credit or refund (excluding shipping and handling charges), subject to a 15% restocking fee. Return shipping to us is at your own expense.

    Defective Returns: If your product is not functioning properly, please call us at 1-800-822-2364 as soon as possible (but not later than 20 days from purchase). In most instances, our highly skilled Tech Support representatives can assist you in diagnosing and resolving your product problems. However, in rare instances, a product is defective. In such case, we will replace the product with an even exchange of the same item, subject to in-stock availability. Replacement items ship the same day the defective item is received and inspected by our Returns Department.

    Custom orders, cables, bulk cable, electronic rack enclosures and products designated as "all sales final", "no returns" or similar language may not be returned.

    Software Licenses: Returned or exchanged with manufacturer prior authorization only.

    All shipping and handling charges are at the customer's expense, unless approved otherwise.

    All returns or exchanges must be made in accordance with this returns and exchange policy.
